Fredrika Rei
BIO
Born in Finland, raised in Belgium and based in Stockholm, independent artist and producer Fredrika Rei is building her very own brand of electropop, drawing inspiration from the personal and the political, the inner and the outer world, from space and dinosaurs.
Her debut EP "less depression, more dancing" (2024) introduced her sharp ear for contemporary pop, with “Sparkle Sparkle Little Star” and “think about” landing on Spotify editorial playlists, and “The Human Experience” gaining months of Finnish radio play. Club anthem “So It Goes” was named one of the best tracks of the year by Swedish blog Vakentimmar.
On her second EP "all the feelings" (2025) she blends ’90s inspired drum’n’bass with experimental electropop and emotionally revealing lyrics in both English and Swedish. Lead single “lose my cool” hit Finnish radio and New Music Friday across the Nordics, “Slayer” and ”just love” landed on Apple Music editorial playlists, and first Swedish release “Vill du säga nåt?” received praise from KULT Magasin, Popmuzik and PSL. The EP was highlighted as the week’s top release by Puls Magasin, who described it as “bold, maximalist, and very, very good.”
“Rei” comes from Panta Rei — everything flows, everything changes — and so does her music. Step into her universe.
